These awards celebrate the creativity of people with Parkinson’s Disease and are open to anyone in the UK with the condition.
Mervyn Peake (1911-1968) was an illustrator, writer and poet who overcame Parkinson’s Disease to produce work that created a world of fantasy. He is best known for his ‘Gormenghast Trilogy’.
His family developed the Mervyn Peake Awards in his honour.
