The Alzheimer’s Society

The Alzheimer’s Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. It has local branches and support groups in Engand, Wales and Northern Ireland and provides advice, information, and a regular magazine.
There is also an interesting and often moving discussion board (Talking Point) on their web site

Alzheimer Scotland
Alzheimer Scotland helps people with dementia, their carers and families, providing practical services across Scotland and campaigning to improve public policies. As well as a wide range of publications and an excellent website, the charity provides a confidential 24 hour freephone helpline (0808 808 3000) for information and support.

Signpost
Journal of Dementia and Mental Health Care for Older People.
Signpost is for professionals and carers working with older people with dementia and mental health problems. Its aim is to enhance quality of care and thereby improve quality of life.  The journal is a non-profit making venture, with all income supporting its continued production and local staff training. Subscription rates are kept to a minimum, starting from just £15 a year. Signpost is produced by the Practice Development Unit (MHSOP) of Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust in association with the Dementia Development Services Centre Wales.
