There is a now a wealth of material on the internet that can be helpful when caring for someone with dementia. One of the things that may not be an obvious resource is YouTube, a website full of film and music clips.
This type of resource can make visiting someone with dementia in a care home much more enjoyable for both those with dementia and their visitors.
When caring for someone at home or visiting someone in care, the use of a PC or laptop that is connected to the inernet will allow you to spend time singing along to favourite and familiar songs, often with the added benefit of a film clip to accompany it. The range of material available allows you to choose whatever is most suitable for your relative.
