Activity Co-ordinators

divider line

Many people working as Activity Co-ordinators feel isolated and under valued. There is often little in the budget for materials or resources to help them in their work, and they rarely have opportunities to meet up and gain support from others working in the same field.

On this website we aim to provide a number of links and information that can help to provide ideas or inspiration for activities and advice about how to get support or training.

The British Association of Art Therapists' website provides information about courses and training for those involved or interested in working in art therapy. These courses include a one day introduction to art therapy and a one week foundation course:

Age Exchange in London is internationally regarded for work in all fields of reminiscence, including theatre, publishing, exhibitions, multi-media arts projects, inter-generational programmes, reminiscence projects in care settings and training workshops. For details see their website at:

NAPA (National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People) This organisation offers a wealth of information, support and training for people working as activity organisers or thinking of becoming one. It also encourages local members to come together to provide support, share ideas and plan training:
