Pictures to Share Community Interest Company is based in rural Cheshire in the shadow of Peckforton Castle. It was established as a social enterprise in 2005 to develop resources for people living with dementia.

Managing Director, Helen Bate BA Dip Arch BA(Hons) originally trained and worked as an Architect before studying for a degree in illustration. She originally had the idea for ‘Pictures to Share’ illustrated books when her own mother had dementia and she became aware of the lack of suitable resources.

Why a Social Enterprise
As a Community Interest Company, a legally registered form of social enterprise, Pictures to Share has been able to access grant funding to allow the necessary research and development and to keep the books as affordable as possible.

As a Community Interest Company, all the profits raised from the sale of these books are re-invested in the company to produce further books and resources for people living with dementia.
